Tiger Woods breaks silent

For the first time since the stories of his licentious affairs took the world by storm, Tiger Woods will come out in open and publish a public statement before a small group of reporters and associates on Friday.

The press session will be hold at the clubhouse of Sawgrass golf course in Florida.

This will be the first time he will be seen in public since the outbreak of the sex scandals. Earlier in mid-December he released a statement on his website admitting to the ‘infidelity’ charges brought against him and asked forgiveness from his wife and children, as well as his fans.

Since then it has been known that he was undergoing a sex treatment at a rehab clinic in Mississippi and is now staying at his Florida home.

Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, has informed in an e-mail statement—

“Tiger Woods will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates at 11 a.m. EST Friday at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. He plans to discuss his past and his future and he plans to apologize for his behavior.”

Since the outbreak of the scandals, the tainted golfstar’s life has been on the rocks. He lost out on a number of lucrative endorsements. More importantly, his family life had gone wayward. His marriage with the Norwegian beauty Elin Nordegren was on the verge of breaking. Although it has been since known that Elin has stalled the divorce proceedings for now, everything is far from falling in place.

Hope this image-salvation effort Tiger is making in the last months-friday’s press release is seen as part of the same- helps lifting him from the mire he is in right now.

Steinberg has informed that the golfer won’t be entertaining any questions tomorrow.
