Happy Mothers Day Altinkum

Yesterday was Mother Day 2010 in Turkey. It is a day you celebrate with your mother. You express your love and respect to your mother. Mother’s Day is celebrated all over the world. Most of the countries celebrate Mother’s day in the second Sunday of May. It is also celebrated in March in some countries such as the UK and Ireland.

In these two countries, people observe Mothering Sunday. In India, Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. Anna Marie Jarvis and Ms Julia Ward Howe played major role in making the Mother’s day popular around the world.

Anna Marie Jarvis decided to start mother’s day after the death of her mother, Ann Jarvis on May 9, 1905. The U.S President, Woodrow Wilson signed a resolution for having a dedicated Mother’s Day on May 8, 1914.

The love between a mother and her child is the most pure thing in this world. The love of a mother is unconditional love. Hence, in all religion, mothers highly respected.So we hope every mother had a wonderful Mother’s Day.
