Holidays in Altinkum Turkey

If a quiet and peaceful holiday is what you are looking for with your family or friends, look no further than Altinkum Didim, the perfect Turkish paradise along the south Aegean Coast. Unlike some of its more well-known counterparts such as Kusadasi and Bodrum, Gumbet, Altinkum tends to be much less boisterous, and one can afford to have the perfect getaway here, without the excess busy seen in other places like the Bodrum, Kusadasi.

The primary draw of this resort town is its three long sandy beaches. In fact, the place Altinkum gets its name from these beaches since Altinkum in Turkish means ‘golden sands’. The beaches at Altinkum stretch a long way, right from the little harbour at one end to the rocky cliff at the other end and also has another two.

Most of Altinkum’s activities also tend to centre around the main  beaches; the British as a community are particularly drawn to the prospect of spending entire days lazing on the golden sands along the clean waters, while nights are spent at many of the bars and restaurants, night clubs, discos dotting the landscape along Altinkum’s beaches.

Water sports such as windsurfing, jet-ski, banana boat ride, or perhaps even a scuba diving lesson at the beaches are all major attractions at the beaches, and you will be able to find all this supports in 2009 in every beach in Altinkum sooon.

Not just the beaches femist in Altinkum because has a great ancident Apollon Temple which saves a lot of history of Medusa. Plenty more to see at Didim Temple and you can always have a quick look shops round the Temple to make memorable.

In fact, while at Altinkum, those with a penchant for history would enjoy visiting the Temple of Apollo at Didyama as well as the enormous Roman ruins at Ephesus which is near Selcuk and if you want to discover little bit more you can alwasy visit Clopatras Pool at Pamukkale ( Cotton Castle ).

  1. Weather is fine in Altinkum. The beaches are wonderful. The people are always helpful and friendly. Bodrum is very nice too.
