Altinkum town in the district of Didim used to be a small unknown town in western Turkey’s Aegean coast, partly built on the ruins of the Temple of Apollo in ancient times. Back in modern contemporary Didim owners tried to get some money from the sterile area of snuff in the neighborhood, but left early. About 15 years ago, people in the big cities of Turkey such as Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and the first time in Altinkum and started to build their own summer homes or vacation homes.
